Terrell Creek Watershed Community Meeting May 22

The Chums of Terrell Creek have once again teamed up with the Whatcom Conservation District and the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association to bring residents of the Terrell Creek Watershed a series of FREE educational workshops. The first workshop, Terrell Creek Watershed Community Meeting, will be held on Thursday May 22, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Birch Bay Bible Community Church. Learn about watersheds, water quality and stewardship opportunities on your own property or elsewhere. Fresh, hot Birch Bay Pizza, snacks and free Chums of Terrell Creek t-shirts for all.Also learn about exciting workshops scheduled for this coming summer and fall including: habitats and restoration, wildlife monitoring, marine waters, farm management, and water quality and sampling, plus a Saturday workshop where residents can get certified through the Whatcom County health Department to inspect their own septic system. This series focuses on the Terrell Creek area, but residents from throughout the county are welcome.
